But that could just be bullshit that he's trying to sell me on taking the position. The recruiter/employer I talked to said that they have very high rates of their employees going to permanent positions at Maintech, and sometimes their temp workers even get hired by Lockheed themselves. My main question to you guys: does anyone here have any experience with these two companies? Or any experience working for a contracted IT company through a bigger, more reputable company like Lockheed Martin? I mainly would love to work for these guys for a year or whatever, and then eventually get hired through Lockheed directly for either a DevOps job, a SwE job, or an IT job of sorts, but I want to know my odds of that happening. The pay is pretty lame, $16 an hour, but 40 hrs a week and 9-80 shift. I'd be on Volt's payroll for anywhere between 3-9 months, as the job is temp-to-hire. The job is with Volt Workforce Solutions initially, and I'd be working under Maintech at Lockheed Martin as a help desk guy of sorts. Problem is, I'm not seeing too many positive reviews for them online. Have long history of IT Help Desk style jobs (6-7 years worth just about), and just finally got my first job offer. Hey all!
